Using the PDF version of the book

Highlights of the PDF version
The CD-ROM accompanying the textbook contains a PDF version of the book chapters with male and female native speaker recordings of all the sentence-length examples used in the book. You may also search the files for English and Czech words with Adobe Reader's search capabilities. The PDF files are print-protected and you will not be able to print copies of the chapters from these files.

Opening the PDF files
If you are usingThe Case Book for Czech INTERACTIVE materials directly from the CD or copied to a location on your hard drive, you can also link to the PDF book files from the browser menus. However, depending on how your browser handles PDF files, you may still need to open these files directly in Adobe Reader in order to fully access the text search capabilities and the embedded audio. The PDF files are conveniently located in the "book" folder on the CD-ROM.

Full-text search
The PDF files can be searched in Adobe Reader for any English or Czech words contained in them. This is an easy reference feature that will enhance your study of the Czech cases and make it easier to reference particular words when working through the exercises.

Playing the embedded audio
All sentence-length examples in the book chapters are accompanied by "M" and "F" buttons that you can click on to play the accompanying native-speaker recordings of these sentences.
